Environmental Work Placements

Are you passionate about nature, community, sustainability or well-being? Take up a placement with Wild Ideas and come together as a team to develop and deliver your own projects, get trained and gain skills that employers really want.

We want you to have fun as you explore your chosen area… we’ve got a long time ahead of us as we move into our chosen careers and we think it’s really important that you enjoy it. So come and have a go if you think you’re wild enough…

sample roles

Community project mentor: Engage with the local community to gain support to carry out environmental projects in conservation, education, training, well-being and sustainability.

Social media officer: Develop and deliver engagement campaigns across a range of social media platforms (or focus on your chosen platform).

Ecologist: Undertake surveys and research to interpret and analyse the cause and effect relationships between species and habitats.

Environmental Educator: learn to plan, develop and deliver a range of environmental engagement and education activities both online and in direct delivery settings.

ChangeMakers: Explore, develop, and deliver a project in sustainability, working as a team to make a real change in your community.
